ConnextCare Thanksgiving Holiday Connextions Touches the Lives of 41 Families
(Pulaski, NY – December 6th, 2023) ConnextCare’s second annual season of “Holiday Connextions” kicked off in earlier November, with the first round of holiday donations already proving to be a success! ConnextCare’s Human Resources Department, who coordinates all aspects of this initiative, worked with its internal staff and community partners to secure all the essentials for local families to have a true Thanksgiving meal. Donations included turkeys, hams, canned green beans, corn, gravy, rolls and even pie! This year, ConnextCare was fortunate to have a new partner, Walmart in Fulton, who agreed to provide the six turkeys and hams that were initially asked for in addition to all the fixings for ten additional families to have all they need for a full holiday meal.
“We are so grateful for the support we receive from our staff, whose kindness and generosity truly make it all possible. The additional partnership with Walmart was above and beyond what we could have imagined, and expanded our ability to support more families than we originally planned” stated Stephanie Earle, Director of Human Resources.
ConnextCare secured enough donations for 41 families across Oswego County to have a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner with their families. ConnextCare has now transitioned its collection efforts to the upcoming holiday in December, where it has adopted 31 families (114 individuals) to support during this special season of giving! Walmart has once again agreed to partner with ConnextCare to support our efforts by donating 40 Christmas stockings (20 for girls and 20 for boys) and 15 breakfast baskets for families to enjoy a wonderful holiday breakfast together.
