Connextcare Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For New Oswego Office Location As Kick-Off For National Health Center Week

On Wednesday, August 7th, ConnextCare held a groundbreaking ceremony at 120 East First Street in Oswego where they have started construction on their new office building.

ConnextCare currently has their Oswego office located on 10 George Street on the West side of the city. The move to the downtown location will make the office much more accessible to patients who use public transportation and will be within walking distance to many public housing buildings in the city.

The office at 10 George Street currently offers primary care, mental health services and substance use disorder services, but is limited to just 12 exam rooms, which ConnextCare is quickly outgrowing. The relocation of the office to downtown Oswego will double the number of exam rooms and allow ConnextCare to offer dental services at this location. Dental services are currently only offered in ConnextCare’s Pulaski and Fulton offices and School Based Health Centers throughout the County.

The ground floor of the building will contain 18 primary care exam rooms as well as provider office spaces. The second floor will contain seven dental exam rooms along with various workspaces and break rooms for staff. ConnextCare plans to be operational in the new space by early 2025. This project is being supported by King & King Architects and LeChase Construction.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony coincided with Patient Appreciation Day during National Health Center Week which is celebrated annually during the month of August. This week recognizes the positive impact that Community Health Centers, such as ConnextCare, have on the communities they serve. During the Ceremony, Robert Corradino, Mayor of the City of Oswego, Proclaimed August 4th - August 9th as National Health Center Week in the City of Oswego.

The ConnextCare Oswego office is currently accepting new patients of all ages. If you are interested in becoming a patient, please call (315)342-0880.
